Press Release SmoothComp

Today we have introduced our new competition system that we have adapted for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sport Ju-Jutsu and Ne-Waza but in the future we can adapt it to any martial art. Work began in the spring and we’ve gathered all our experience on competing, coaching and arranging two of Europe’s biggest competitions in BJJ; Swedish Open in Stenungsund and Nordic BJJ Open in Nacka in the system.

The system manages the entire process, from smooth registration for a single fighter to mass registration as a coach. SmoothComp handles payments, setting up brackets, seeding, weighing and scoring during games. Points for the best club and the team is done live during the competition and everything can be monitored via smartphones and tablets since the whole system is built on a responsive design.

SmoothComp is built by the company Pixelstore that has years of experience in system construction and design. Our academies have invested much time and money on building a world-class system and we are very grateful for the contributions we have received from the Swedish Federation of sports through the project ”Handslaget”. We will give the Swedish BJJ federation access to the platform without any costs and the ambition is that all BJJ competitions who want to use the system should be able to do it.

We hope that the system will make it easy for you as a fighter or coach as well as give the audience a good experience when following the system live or over the internet. The first competition to use SmoothComp will be Nordic Ju-Jutsu Cup and Nordic BJJ Open in October 24-25 in Nacka and then the Swedish BJJ Open on 14-15 November in Stenungsund.
